Eucharistic Miracles

We, as Catholics, are bound to believe that the Eucharist is truly the body and blood of Our Savior, Jesus Christ; not just a mere symbol of his body, but his actual flesh and blood hidden under the humble appearance of bread and wine. This teaching is admittedly very hard to comprehend… and even during Jesus’ time, scriptures tell us that some of his followers had difficulty accepting it as well when he spoke about it; some even left him over it…

"Then many of his disciples who were listening said, ‘This saying is hard; who can accept it?’ ... As a result of this, many of his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him." John 6:60, 66
